Search Marshall Criminal Dockets

Start a Marshall County criminal court docket search with Indiana's statewide public case system. That's the fastest route in. Turn to the county clerk only when you need an official copy or a record that seems missing. Indiana labels its event list a Chronological Case Summary, or CCS. The CCS tracks how a criminal case moves through court, though it is not the certified file itself. Marshall County criminal court dockets may sit with the Circuit Court or one of the Superior Courts, depending on charge level, related cases, and the local allocation plan. Before trusting any result, match the court code, the case type, and the status.

Marshall MyCase Criminal Fields

The criminal Case Summary is more than a list of dates. It can show case status, court, file date, judicial officer, parties, attorneys, charges, probable-cause entries, bonds, financial information, related cases, and the sequential CCS. The official MyCase help page explains that the public view is not the official record and may contain omissions. That warning matters when an entry has been converted from an older system or a document link is absent.

The CCS is the timeline. A charge panel states the allegation and count, while a disposition field records how a count ended. A bond status shows release security, not guilt or the final result. Likewise, an open status means the matter remains active. It is not a finding about the charge.

The county's criminal-access image comes from Indiana Criminal Rule 1.2.

The rule provides the statewide baseline, while the CCS shows how that baseline applies to a particular public case.

Marshall Criminal Dockets: What They Show

A Marshall County criminal docket separates identifiers, allegations, settings, and outcomes. Read the fields together. A hearing entry can be followed by a reset, and a charge can end differently from another count in the same case. The CCS supplies the sequence, but the linked order controls when its text differs from a short event label.

Case NumberCourt code, filing year and month, case type, and sequence.
ChargeCount, offense description, level, statute, and charge status when public.
HearingArraignment, pretrial, plea, trial, sentencing, or other setting.
BondBond type, amount, posted date, and current status where available.
DispositionThe result for a count, distinct from the sentence and final order.

Marshall Criminal Docket Codes

Indiana case codes quickly narrow a Marshall County criminal docket. CM means criminal misdemeanor. MC and PC identify miscellaneous criminal and probable-cause matters. Felonies use levels F1 through F6, with murder and other categories separately allocated. These codes describe the case track, not the result. A PC filing may lead to another criminal cause, and an F6 label says nothing by itself about disposition.

Converted event

Disposition
The recorded resolution of a charge or case.

Marshall Criminal Docket Stages

A Marshall County criminal CCS may begin with probable cause, an initial hearing, or a filed charge. Later entries can record counsel, bond review, discovery, pretrial conferences, motions, plea proceedings, trial, disposition, and sentencing. Not every case uses every stage. A dismissal can end one charge while another remains, and a reset changes the setting without ending the cause.

Docket flow: Filing › Initial Hearing › Pretrial › Plea or Trial › Disposition › Sentencing

Follow the order of CCS events and open any public order linked to a key entry. For an official account of what was said, use a transcript rather than a short docket label.

Marshall Drug Court Docket

The statewide Problem-Solving Court Directory listed Marshall Adult Drug Court in December 2025. Participation does not create a separate public record system. The underlying criminal cause and its public events remain tied to the assigned Marshall County court and CCS. Program details should be confirmed with the court because eligibility, status, and confidential treatment information are not inferred from a public search.

The county's program image is sourced from its Pretrial Diversion page.

It shows why diversion details belong with the court and prosecutor, while the CCS remains the public event trail.

Marshall County Criminal Docket Courts

Marshall County has one Circuit Court and three Superior Courts. The 2026 allocation plan places murder and F1/F2 matters in Superior 1, Title 9 F5/F6 cases, misdemeanors, infractions, and ordinance matters in Superior 2, and allocated F3/F4 plus non-Title-9 F5/F6 matters in Superior 3. Circuit retains assigned special categories. Related-case and probation rules can override a category-only guess.

Search countywide first. Then trust the court shown in MyCase. The elected Marshall County Clerk keeps the filings, orders, judgments, and financial records for all four courts, so there is no separate criminal clerk to locate.

Marshall Criminal Docket or Transcript

A CCS proves that an event was entered, but it is not a word-for-word account. Marshall County links The Record Xchange for transcript and audio requests. Its transcript form asks for the case name, case number, judge or magistrate, hearing date, requested portion, confidentiality status, appeal status, payment type, and desired date. The county-specific notice states a rate of $5 per page with a $50 minimum beginning January 1, 2025. The reporter supplies the estimate.

The federal PACER price image comes from PACER pricing, a separate federal system.

Federal fees do not set Marshall County copy costs. State cases remain with the county clerk and Indiana systems.

Marshall Criminal Docket Access Rules

Indiana begins with a presumption of public access to court records, but that rule has defined exceptions. Sealed, expunged, juvenile, and other confidential material will not appear like an ordinary public Marshall County criminal docket. Protection-order searching also limits protected-person information. A missing name therefore does not prove that no matter exists.

Key rules: Access Rule 4 establishes public access and reasonable inspection methods. Access Rule 5 identifies records excluded from public access. Criminal Rule 1.2 applies that access framework to criminal records.

For an older case, a missing document, a certified order, or a current balance, contact Jenny Bennitt's Marshall County Clerk at 211 W. Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana 46563, 574-936-8922. Public hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The clerk can identify the record and access route but cannot give legal advice.
